Weekly Learning Review

Class:      Year 4                Week Ending: 19/10/2017
·         In Literacy, students continued planning and writing a play script.
·         The students wrote a role play story as a TV news program involving an anchor, interviewer, and people involved in the story.
·         In Grammar, the students worked on punctuation in different sentence types.
·         The focus of spelling this week are the prefixes “anti-“ This prefix means “against or opposite of”.

·         Students are learning to describe the properties of 2D shapes.
·         Students can differentiate between equilateral and isosceles triangles. 

·         Students know that skeletons grow as humans grow, support, and protect the body. They learned that the skeleton protects our organs.
·         Children also learned that there are different kinds of muscles in the body. They understand that animals with skeletons have muscles attached to the bones.
·         In Geology, we learned about the different bodies of water that are bordering Egypt.
·         Students drew a world map of the continents and oceans.
Personal, Social, Health, Citizenship Education
·         This week, students learned why people should not abandon their pets.
·         They also learned to take responsibility for pets at home.
